WV Writers, Inc. Region 3 and the Alderson Main Street are co-producing a local writers event called Lions and Authors and Books... Oh My! on Saturday, April 25, 2015, at the Alderson Community Center in Alderson, W.Va.
There will be games, food, music and a grand array of fantastic West Virginia authors including Belinda Anderson, Larry Berger, Amy Brekeller, Joan C. Browning, Brittney Cassity, Allan Clower, Rebecca Dean for Miles Dean, Theresa Flerx, Eric Fritzius, Tod Hanger, Kellie Honaker, Norman Jordan, Kirk Judd, Cheryl Kula, Roger "Rock" Lockridge, Rusty McQuade,Cat Pleska, Renee Porter, Fred Powers, Nancy Richmond, Joe B. Roles, S.D. Smith, Phyllis Campbell Whitley, Fred Ziegler.
Sharon Powers and Suzanne Williams will entertain and surprise you during the day. Wonderful Bob Shanks and Kirk Judd will entertain you at 6:30 P.M. with poetry and music.
You can chat with the authors and purchase books ranging from children's' literature, fitness, history, poetry and lovely photography and fiction. This is a very kid-friendly event, so bring the entire family. Oh, by the way, there will be lions. If you can find the hidden one in the main event room, you can take it home. Here's a hint--this lion is only 2 1/2 inches long and all black.
