West Virginia Writers publishes an organizational newsletter, sent to our members and occasionally to recently lapsed members.
Newsletter Submission Guidelines
- Articles may be submitted electronically or, if necessary, by mail. Electronic submission files must have a .docx, .doc, or .rtf extension.
- Articles should be submitted in 12 point font and in one of the following fonts: Times New Roman, Arial or Calibri
- Photographs/art that is relevant to WVW will be considered for publication. Art/photography must be submitted electronically as a jpeg, and be no larger than 8 1/2”. Items printed in the paper format will be B&W, while the online version can be in color. You must include a title as well as the names of those in the photographs.
- All submissions must be original unpublished work. No profanity or adult overtones. Submission will not be returned. WVW reserves the right to not publish submitted materials.
- Maximum word count: Poetry, 20 lines or less; Short Prose and Articles 700 words
- Please include the following with all submissions: name and address, phone, email. Bios are welcomed, but not necessary. Submission may not necessarily be used in the next newsletter, however, may be published in future newsletters.

- Submission deadlines are March 15, July 15, and November 15. Beginning in 2018 the deadlines will be March 15, June 15,September 15, and December 15.
